Life Legacy
Wilson A. "Sonny" Folsom
Services for Wilson A. "Sonny" Folsom are at 11 a.m., Tuesday January 24, 2012 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bishop Travis Mitchell will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Folsom died Sunday January 22, at Archbold Medical Center. Born Nov. 7, 1926, in Palatka, Fla., he is the son of the late Wallace Everett Folsom and Julia Frances Estridge Folsom. On August 4, 1958 in Charlton County, Ga., he married Nannie Lee Lindsey Folsom who preceded him in death January 28, 2010. He was a self-employed commercial artist. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Survivors include stepdaughters, Emma Jean Fulgham (Doug) of Thomasville, Bernice Mitchell (Charles) of Thomasville, Sara Croley (Gary) of Whigham, GA; brother, George Folsom of St. Cloud, FL; and a number of step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a stepson Bernie Wilson Folsom Jr
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, Monday, January 23, 2012.
